THE TRIBAL COMMUNITY OF JANGALMAHAL
Figure 1 HUNTRING INSTUMENTS OF THE TRIBAL PEOPLE
Tuesday, I visited a tribal village at Karur forest in the Jangalmagal region . The tribal community lives in the denser part of the forest of the area, the settlement pattern is isolated but compact.
The tribal people are very hard working , They make mud houses with thatched roof and paint the wall with different colours which they collect from the forest.

Figure 3 Hunting process of the tribal community.
The tribes continue to thrive their subsistence from hunting –gathering and collecting other forest based products. They use harpoon, arrow and other instrument for hunting wild bear , rat , sheep and other wild animals .
Figure 4 Small river coming from the top of the hill.
Geomorphically this is a hilly region where a small river flows from the top of a hill. The granite outcrop is the main landmass of this area and basalt, laterite are the other main rocks found
in this area.
The tribal village in this forest is small in size, The people are honest and faithful. They lead a cultural, social and religious life that is totally different from our present lifestyle
